Almost Camping

Whilst driving along the B3276, we passed “Bedruthan Steps Camping“, about half way between Newquay and Padstow. We returned the next evening to enjoy the view and have a picnic.  On the way back we found the “quick” way to actually get there (by driving past the airport!).

It has quite a view

Bring your own supplies

And dont fall off the edge

It is a long way down

Return of the office room(almost)

With a secure and lockable and dry utility to be room in the garage, the office room can return. Can see the floor and everything (for the first time this year).

Bit more to move/relocate/chuck and an official ‘study’ can return to use.

Test of Image Overlays

This blog is a wordpress site, and i wanted to test overlaying 2 photos with a slidy slidy bar.

Anyway this is a test of the “Twenty 20 Image Before-After” plugin.  Seems to work quite well.

Going back a few years now, can you guess the missing person?

Room rearranged

With some spare time, rearranged the front room. All the carpet is up and gone, all the laminate rearranged by the computer station, main table set at 4ft wide.  For the napoleonics have coloured strips to show which side is French (blue of course) and Allied (red!).

So basically the same, but completely different.

Twas more like this before.

In our latest game to learn the rules (in Keith’s case anyway) and test the layout of the eastern edge of the battlefield, our random forces see the Highlanders holding Papolette, with the Old Guard Grenadiers supported by a heavy cavalry division bearing down on them.

With Ney in front, what could possibly go wrong!

Steps required

Due to an outbreak in Roche of ‘EHWBS’ (Excessively High Wheelie Bin Syndrome) – steps have been taken (well – “issued” might be a better way of saying it) to resolve the problem.

RIP Bongo

As Bongo didn’t make it home from the vets today, we decided to buy a tree in remembrance. The crab apple ‘barribal’ guarding the back gate – like what he did… in his own way.

He became part of our family in 2010 as a rescue dog, believed to born around 2003. He struggled on after a stroke and has been on heart medication for the last year. Guarding duties now pass onto Myrtle.

October 2016 – Pre stroke – almost alert – probably watching a feather

April 2010 – almost fully brown

May 2012 – Guard Duty whilst camping – famous frog position – poised and ready to pounce… honest

Oct 2012 – Maybe he was wondering why we have gone camping in October!

July 2014 – Rememeber NOT A SHARK….

Summer 2016 – Pack of the most alert animals in alertchester

Dec 2018 – Guarding the round chair. Despite the fact it moved round – he could almost get on it. However he couldn’t always remember why

Sand Castle Destruction

Having failed to win any artistic prizes, despite the nomination for “Roche Concrete Mound of the Decade 2010-2019”, the removal company moved in!

Guess the parking spot is really quite useful though.
