Downstairs

In some houses there is a room next to the front door called the lounge.  When Tamsin moved the lounge upstairs (ok it was Bedroom no 2 – come on keep up) then the old lounge was handed over to the Wargaming Computer Nerd.

A new plan starts to take place….

Trying to use all the bits of wood in the garage before it gets knocked down for the Huge Mega Shed – Roche International Commune for Eldery Relatives (HMS Ricer to give it the official title).  Apparently it will be visible from the ISS, but will only qualify as the 34th Wonder of the World within Roche, narrowly missing out on 33rd spot to the telegraph pole outside the coop.

Anyway at least I will be inside now, near the loo and the fridge!

Once HMS Ricer is built then the officey stuff, and book stuff will end up in the conservatory and the entire Waterloo battlefield becomes a prospect (in the front room!).

Now, where did I put that hammer…..

Room Transmorphifications

With pending building work, and a dining room to finish off, futher plans are afoot

The dining room transformation continues, walls getting their new paint, floor and skirting to complete.

The “old lounge” downstairs become study, aka all of Andy’s junk (whutever that means)

just a few more bookcases needed,  Still not sure of the purpose of that exercise bike malarky.

Meanwhile the winter lounge aka second bedroom gets a new paint job, sofa bed (yeah it was dead heavy getting it upstairs) and the master TV.

Meanwhile the Summer Lounge (aka conservatory) starts to recieve boxes from the inlaws.  Anyone would think they were moving house or summit.

Least the Kitchen is actually finished.. I think…

Yes – the pans on the right (above the towel rail) are too high for Jacky!  Safety first!

Kitchen done finished!

Everyone been and done their magic!

Even the dogs have their new cave

Bit of furniture to acquire (and modify) to provide best use of some of the nooks and crannies.  Now we just need to move onto the Dining Area….. think it needs some work….

Eventful day

The electricans turned up – let there be light – under cabinet light.  Haven’t had the bill yet but sure it’s worth it

Meanwhile in the “old” kitchen (soon to be dining area, whilst we were both off various cabinets “fell” off the wall, into the van and up to the recycling centre.

Did look a bit like this before…. dunno why we changed it really….

Old Kitchen – Cooky bit

Bongo coped with all the stress though and made use of the temporary Dog Cave.  Only 2 cabinets remain – waiting on the Plumber on Monday.
